Devil in the details
3 of 4 found this helpful This DVD looks and plays like a copy (legal?) of a VHS recording. I have a relatively new home theater system which is still able to connect to my legacy VHS recorder/player, and my old VHS movies are playable, but naturally the original quality is not obtainable. However the Son of the Morning Star DVD quality is worse than anything in my VHS library. I suppose I should have been more wary when the product description of this DVD reads "NTSC Format". Nevertheless this TV series is hard to obtain, so I am glad I have it, but I would never bother loaning it to someone else or watching it with friends. Also your home system may or may not be able to render an aspect ratio which properly displays the TV image. My system could only get it perhaps 90% correct.
