Okay in the end.
Got the wrong product, but problem was corrected.

Good battery, good service.
I don't know how long the original battery lasted when new, but this battery is good for 5 or 6 hours operating time which translates to 5 or 6 days the way my wife uses her computer. About 6 times longer than the battery I replaced. We are happy campers.
