Does the job well.

.. don't know much about scope covers but I had a bikini cover & wanted to upgrade since the bikini cover would be a bit awkward in the field. .. found these & they look great & function well. The see-through lense is very clear. Oh, and did I mention MADE IN THE USA! Happy!

.. love this mount!

I only looked @ 2 mounts for my Aero Precision USA AR-15--the Aero & this one. Both look great. The Aero is a bit more stylish but the Leupold is rock solid with 3 lugs & 5 screws locking it to the pic rail. On another day I might have gone with the Aero. Both offer excellent American-made products. .. allows my Diamondhead flip-out offset rear iron sight to just clear the bottom of my Leupold AR Mod 1 1.5-4 x 20 scope. .. perfect! .. flawless machining. .. beautious Leupold symbol/Leupold name printed in pure white lettering on the left side of the mount--adds a bit of class. The only odd thing that I discovered is that my size 27 Craftsman torx driver for the five mount screws was a bit large for the size 27 screws. Menard's had a 1/4" drive torx 27 that fit perfectly. .. problem solved. .. recommend!
