Could do better
From my research this is the best such tool on the market and it did the job without too much trouble but:
It doesn't have ANY instructions. Even the Laser Tools website doesn't have any guidance - how lazy is that?
Also, it needs a fair bit of force and when the valve goes in, the insertion tool shoots down the cone and the cone takes the skin off your thumb. A guard on the tool would stop this happening. Take care when using.

Heavy duty but buy before you are bitten
1 of 1 found this helpful My qualifications - I had a tick recently that I removed with tweezers because I didn't have a Tick Key and I've read lots about ticks on the internet.
Made from 1.6mm aluminium, this is much heavier duty than I was expecting which is good. Also much larger than I expected which is not so good, but I will cut it down to the size I want.
In terms of function it completely looks exactly like something that would effectively remove ticks, but I'm not going to let any attach so that I can test it. I will take it whenever I go walking and I hope to never use it.
In terms of value, these could be stamped out for a few pence and given away in cereal boxes, but no-one supplies them at that price - it costs what it costs and if having it means that you promptly remove a tick that otherwise would have given you Lyme disease it's worth it many times over.
Just remember, the time to buy is now - if you get a tick and you don't already have this in your wallet, you will have to use some other, probably inferior and possibly dangerous, method of tick removal.

Should be OE
I'm inordinately pleased with this accessory. It's cheap and stops the radiator and downpipes getting pelted with salt - it should be Original Equipment. Together with the topbox and handlebar muffs my MT now looks really dowdy and commute-y. A hugger will be next. Fitting takes an hour, which is very quick. People will say it takes 5 mins but once you've removed the mudguard, washed and dried it, drilled it, attached the extender, replaced it on the bike, put your tools away and washed your hands it's an hour.
