Doesn't live up to the hype
2 of 6 found this helpful This is a really well reviewed lens - but I wasn't impressed with it's performance.
This lens is not as fast/ sharp as it's bigger brother the 50mm 1.8G.
It has trouble focusing on the subject sometimes. When taking groups of people 4+, the outer people will get vignetted if you are at a low aperture. 50mm doesn't have this problem.
I will get used to this lens. But not have thrilled as I was with the 50mm.
