Steel Will Onrush 632S Linerlock Folding Knife 632S
    Feb 03, 2022
A Tough, Tactical, & Functional Outdoor EDC Folding Knife!
The Steel Will Onrush 632S (serrated) has been my "go-to" EDC knife for outdoor activities over the past couple of years. It's packed with thoughtful features and elements that makes it exceptionally functional and sharp looking, too. - Pros: The Boehler N690Co blade is a premium steel alloy that's both tough and rust resistant, as well easy to sharpen and still hold a sharp edge - the primary reason why I chose it for lots of my open water (saltwater) and outdoor activities. It's never shown any sign of rust and the black PVD coating over the blade is very durable, having shown very little wear from abrasions. This knife features exceptional ergonomic design features. Overall, a hardy high quality build w/large G10 handles that makes it feel solid and comfortable on the hand. The jimping on the blade for the thumb is not aggressive and ensures a firm grip. When folded, there's also jimping for the thumb, when using the reverse grip for the 'glass breaker' tip (which btw works, too!). The spine (top) of the blade has sharp edges which makes it functional for a fire starter; but spine is also slightly concave, which allows for a more comfortable placement for the thumb , when whittling wood or making finer cuts. The clip point w/wedge tip makes with easy to puncture through tin/aluminum/carpet/fabrics, plus the 3.6" blade and patented-serrations make it a quick slicer, whether you're cutting rope, cordage, or straps to slicing cardboard, carpet, burlap, or just slices of fruit and veges. This knife has proven to be a tough performer that can do nearly everything, short of batoning wood. - Cons(?): At 6.6 oz., it's been argued that it's on the heavy side for an EDC knife. But I distinguish my EDCs for either indoor or outdoor uses. I wouldn't want to use my more expensive and lighter indoor 2.2 oz EDC for most of the outdoor tasks that I described above, even though it probably could with more effort. The size of this knife also makes it more easy to find and grab from the pocket, especially when wearing gloves. With a smaller EDC, you'll likely have to take the gloves off. The knife has both a flipper knob (which I prefer) and thumb studs that can deploy the blade. It's not a 'fast' flipper, but with practice, in a few more milliseconds it's quick enough to deploy with a single flick of the wrist. In summary, serrated model of the Steel Will Onrush 632S knife deserves praise for its overall value in performance, features, and functions.

Cons: At 6.6 oz., it's been argued that it's on the heavy side for an EDC knife. But I distinguish my EDCs, whether for indoor or outdoor uses. The liner lock remains center and true to lock the blade stiff, plus it's easy to close with one hand. In summary, this is a great knife, especially for outdoor use! The Steel Will 632S knife deserves praise for its overall value in performance, features, and functions.
