Anastacia "Pieces of a Dream" (Special Ed. Booklet 2CD)
I was so excited to have finally found this collector's gem from 2005, (brand new and unopened) and the book is awesome w/lyrics and great pics. But when I tried to get the 2 CD's out -or slide them off the inside front and back covers-, these brand-new CD's both got scratched. I was very careful, -since my collection is built mostly of these type of items-,and you can't slide them off without scratches, because the sleeve is too tight on the disc. They should've place the discs on the regular type of base holder that you press them on and it snaps or secures the disc. I had no choice but to place my discs on your regular "CD jewel boxes". So I put away the booklet/disc case, and now have these 2 discs in these organic/normal/boring C.D. cases.
I decided to buy the set because it's kind of rare, and I'm a fan of Anastacia.

Monica Naranjo's 7 years magnum-opus rock-opera: "Lvbna"
The most ambitious, most intense and deep album of her career. It took her 7 year to craft it because it's not every year a pop artist can write/produce a rock-opera of this magnitude. The official lyrics are printed in the booklet inside the cd. What lyrics, it's deep poetry & metaphors for the state of the world. What music, what arrangements, what a voice!, touches everything from operatic vocals to rock, and tangoes through it all seamlessly with passion, soul and technical proficiency. Mónica Naranjo is not for easy listening. But she could if she wanted to. It's just that when you have this level of vocal power, it has to be released. Think of powerhouses like Aretha Franklin, Taylor Dayne, Kristine W, Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, Donna Summer, Heart's Ann Wilson, Pat Benatar and then there's Mónica Naranjo. Those are her team-members. There's no Sade, no Janet Jackson, no Taylor Swift, no smaller voice here. This is a singer for the the big leagues. If you enjoy power, control, thrilling chest/head high notes on a vocal range that spans 4 octaves, a unique singing style that's also soulful & masterful, then Mónica Naranjo is your girl.
