The smart home system for the rest of us.
I’ve had switchmate gear in my home for about a year now. I started with two switch devices and an outlet in a kit, and now I’m up to 5 switches and 2 outlets.
The cool thing about switchmate is how easy it is to set up. Install the app on your phone, pair modules to your phone, and done. If you have a Google or Alexa speaker, you can also use a plug or zip module to connect the system to your wifi network so you can control it with your voice.
The only drawback to switchmate is I can’t figure out how to make it work with multiple devices, but for the apartment dweller or those who have a smart speaker, it’s not a huge issue.
All in all, I recommend switchmate.

Terrific little indoor security camera
I bought a pair of these to replace the Geeni cameras I had, and I’m glad I did. These are much more solid and have much, much better video quality.
If you use Apple Homekit for your smarthome control, these are super easy to add to that system. You can also configure them to work with a RTSP-compatible NVR/DVR like Synology. However, I use mine with the app and SD csrds (which are sold separately).

Good basic IP camera
1 of 1 found this helpful Add a cheap 32GB micro SD card and a USB extension cable, and you have a terrific solution for a camera with a couple weeks of storage footage.
For 720p, the image quality is good both in daylight and at night.
The only thing that can help these cameras is a better app that gives you more information about them. Setup is easy, however.
Two-way audio is okay quality on both ends.
Night vision with these cameras is the best part of these cameras. My home is 50 feet across and these pick up going across my basement.
All in all, a good value at their retail price. ($25 at the biggest big box store.)
