    Finding Noel
This is a story that feels like real life. People with real problems, real issues. It is told in a tender way and gives insight into why people do what they do and how the tender mercies sometimes creep into our everyday living and make things fall into place in spite of the hardships we face being part of the human family. This story was an easy, good read. For those familiar with Richard Paul Evans work - another of his books that shows his great talent for telling the story of common people. I'm sure I'll read this one again..

    Even Now
I loved this book because the characters were totally believable and I could relate to the feelings and actions of each one. I like to read things by Karen Kingsbury because she deals with real issues that are not uncommon to everyday families and I always end up feeling uplifted and not discouraged or feeling like I've read trash. This story deals with two families who are good friends and their kids grow up together and fall in love and the girl gets pregnant. Everyone has good intentions, but the story revolves around what consequences the actions of each player have on the lives of those involved and how time softens hurts, but doesn't necessarily remove the consequences. We don't always have the answers, but healing is possible even when we make the wrong choices and live with their consequences. Good book. I'd recommend it to anyone and especially to youth and their parents.

    The Quilt
A friend of mine loaned her copy to me to read and it was so touching that I had to have my own copy! This is a story that is encouraging, that draws people together through differences and shows that love and putting God first and honing your relationship with Him are what really matters. I found myself really yearning to become like Mary. what a gift she had for loving. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who would like to read a fairly short, feel-good story with some great points for a personal reflective check-list.Wendy
