Sigma EX 1.4x Teleconverter APO EX DG Lens For Cannon (Brand New)
    May 26, 2017
    Great addition to my lens
I am so impressed with the Sigma EX 1.4x teleconverter APO EX DG lens for Canon. I'm using with a Canon 70D camera and a Sigma 105mm Macro lens. I'm using it for nature photography, and the increased magnfication allows me to get farther away from skittish subjects such as bees and butterflies. The TC does cause the AF to be a tiny bit sluggish, but it's not bothersome, and the focusing is really spot-on. You lose one stop of light but the camera controls that--for instance, my lens opens up to f/2.8 without the TC on, but with the TC on, the camera stops the minimum at f/4. My lens was released in 2014 so understandably its older technology has slower AF than my Canon 70-300mm lens that was just released in December 2016. For my use, I'm loving this added piece of equipment.
Waterproof Carry/Shoulder Bags Sling Torso Pack for SLR DSLR Camera

Sturdy bag that's ready for anything
I just received my shoulder sling camera bag yesterday so haven't actually worn it on a hike but want to report on what I do know. My first impression when I opened the envelope was "Oh no, it's bright red instead of the black I specified!" but soon realized that the red is a wonderful elasticized rain cover for additional protection. It can easily slip into the back pocket of the bag. The bag is very sturdy and well-padded. It's in fact heftier for my purposes than necessary but there's no doubt that my equipment will be protected if I get caught in a heavy downpour or it falls onto concrete or rocks. The shoulder strap, on the other hand, could be a little heftier but seems to be comfortable in the short time I tried it. If you're afraid of missing a photo op, then keep your camera outside the bag until the weather requires otherwise because with the buckles and zippers, it takes some time to get your camera out once it's in the bag. I do like the double row of zippers that are connected with one "handle" that opens each of the side flaps. I think it is a good product and give it 5 stars but I would have preferred less bulk of the padding, to carry on light hikes with a chance of rain. I'm also not real crazy about the fire engine red lining and cover but that's again a personal preference and nothing against the product itself.
