It works-- what else do you want?
I have a Tecumseh made air cooled outboard from the 60's. It had no spark. A check of the components left me with no other logical conclusion than the coil had failed. A test of the coil showed it-- indeed-- was the culprit.
This coil was a 180' version of the original but-- a little trial and error work and an acceptable route was found for the plug wire away from the flywheel that encases the ignition system
And-- it works. It works and it was half the price or less of local suppliers (who I tried to support. Not one would waiver from their 39-40+ asking price. So-- there they sit, that part on the shelf, coveting some theoretical percent of profit rather than put cash in the bank). I would have paid more-- to support them, but not twice as much-- and then some!
Did I mention?
It works! And now I have a running Montgomery Ward 7HP outboard motor!
