so far so good
This marks the second rebuild I've had to do on my Jeep's straight-six (in a row). The first time, I used generic lifters and soaked them prior to assembly - apparently Jeep doesn't advise that. So, I had to start all over again when they became stuck - I bought the best (see Mopar) lifters and things seem to be alright so far.
Generic lifters - $5 each, genuine Mopar = $25 each... just by virtue of the fact that they're five times the price they're not a good value, but these are some of the best-priced lifters around. They come packaged individually in a Mopar box with oil paper wrapping.

These cans are worth the money - just buy
These cans are equivalent to the wedco cans of yore. They're well worth the money, they DO NOT LEAK, they DO NOT BURP, they are the ONLY cans you should trust.
