Become a Deadeye Sharpshooter with Crimson Trace
I love to shoot and am good at it, but my closeup eyesight is fading so I finally decided to break down and buy a laser. Research pointed to Crimson Trace as the best and I agree. First bought a trigger-mounted one for my Sig P938, then recently bought this baby for my M&P 9c. Both are outstanding for target acquisition AND point shooting (no aim, muscle memory) shooting. I can shoot the heart out of a target at 7-10 meters. The laser tells me when I am making mistakes like jerking the trigger. And my point shooting has improved dramatically since I've been practicing with a clear weapon in my living room while watching TV. The laser tells me if my finger-pointing aiming is accurate and I am only getting better. Install it yourself--it's so fast and easy. Adjustment is a breeze. Had an issue with the ambidextrous safety on the M&P and Crimson Trace talked me through it: Easy to rectify with a Dremel drill and I didn't even have to disassemble the trigger mechanism. They say the green laser is easier to see than my red ones, but I am very happy with what I bought.

Excellent Scope-Red Dot Combo at a Great Price
0 of 2 found this helpful Easy to mount (no, you don't have to take off your AR-15 front sight). Steady and sturdy. Forgot my bore sight but zeroed the scope with no problem. Zeroing the red dot was a bit harder as I'd never done it before and was out on a range at a hunting camp, with targets tied and tacked to a backboard. The difficulty: No clamp for my AR. Going back and forth between scope and red dot is very difficult as you tend to move the rifle slightly. No help that I was turning the adjustment dials backwards (you are adjusting the red dot itself, not its position on the target). But once I got the hang of it, I was able to guestimate enough to line up the red dot with the scope. I wasted some ammo getting everything sighted in, but now it is perfect. And my shot grouping, I must brag, was touching. All bullet holes touching. Great price for a very nice system, already mounted and just waiting to put on your rail.
