About us
We are a start-up, who want to develop the nomad culture on the international area. Our project supports women of the remote mountain regions, where the employment rate is very low. Our product SHYRDAK – a magnificent wool felt rug with authentic patterns is handcrafted from natural wool felt and its authentic pattern is a unique design by the artisan. Our carpet-shyrdak is made in the mountains of Central Asia at an altitude of 3000 meters, by 5 artisans before coming to your home or office and requires about between 70 to 230 hours of hand work, it depends on the size. Uniqueness of our shyrdak is its originality, there isn’t the same shyrdak in the world. Each patterns have own meaning.
The felt is hand sewn with stitches less than 2mm apart, the highest level of craftsmanship. Wool felt and yarn are ecofriendly materials not only for adults and children, but for pets too.
