Striking photos; impressive writing
This book about Arabian horses captured me from the first page. The photos are impressive and the material is very well written.

Bright and beautiful marbles.
1 of 1 found this helpful This complete set of 60 Chinese checker marbles is brand new, the colors are ideal: Bright blue like an October sky in Maine/pure, bright red, fine, sunny yellow, snow white, jet-jet black and such a beautiful green. They are exactly like the marbles I remember when we played Chinese checkers as kids! Will now be able to play the game for the first time in Forty Years (!), as I have just obtained a lovely board from another seller. All-set-now!
The box above, asks if this item is entertaining. Well yes it is. It's entertaining to me, just to look at these shiny, so-colorful marbles as they sit, ready to play. A friend will be over in a day or so, and she and I will give this a good try and enjoy ourselves. Thank you, and I'm so glad these marbles are available.
Cat's eyes and whatever other fancy marbles are out there, just weren't going to do it, Locally, that's all anyone had. With these, you know exactly where you're at by the time everyone's playing and the marbles are out and going. Oh, don't you just love it? Pat Wooldridge

Ms. Rowling writes very well !
This is not my usual fare. Quite a gritty book in my opinion, though it is probably an apt description of the people/situations involved.
