SIMPLY THE BEST!! (And Easy To Clean The Base Interior)
Of all of the hummingbird feeders that I’ve purchased over the years, this Pennington Glass Hummingbird 16 oz nectar feeder is by far THE BEST, And contrary to another customer review, the base can indeed be opened so to allow access for cleaning. (Hint: Look for the small tab on the top of the base and lift upwards to separate from the base). If one does not routinely clean (say, with a toothbrush) the inside, interior base, bacteria and black mold will form in the nectar and harm the the hummers.
