Great OEM Part - Attachment Holes Are Not Pre-Drilled
OEM product, very well-made, and would probably last the life of the truck. However, they did not come with pre-drilled holes so this is NOT a simple bolt/screw-on affair. Had I known that, I would not have purchased them. I have not mounted them yet and I really don't know if I will. They would be a great addition to the truck but I know I will never achieve the level of symmetry a factory installation or pre-drilled holes would afford. If you have the skillset and equipment to facilitate installation, the product really is top-shelf and would be a great addition to the truck.

Well-Made Product and Does Help in Lowering Tailgate
The Dee Zee brand Tailgate Assist is a very well-made product. It installs easily but you do need a torque wrench which a lot of folks don't have. It functions well although but I wish it dropped the tailgate a little slower. I'm thinking about getting another one for the passenger side and that would make it perfect. All in all, good product and I am satisfied.

Made In USA Craftsman
I grew up watching my dad use Craftsman tools and I have, for over 40 years, used Craftsman tools as well. Never did I imagine that one day they would no longer be made here in the USA. I occasionally have to buy an imported tool but as long as an American Made Craftsman tool is available from whatever the source, I will buy it over an import even if it costs a few dollars more. I am thankful people have these American made Craftsman tools still available. This particular screwdriver functions superbly. I hope to have it for the rest of my life and pass it on down to my grandson.
