The Billboard Book of No 2 Singles by Christopher Feldm
This book is a wonderful compilation of secondary musical history. It has a tendency to surprise you in seeing what highly familar hits songs thru out the decades from the 1950's to 1990's that were close but no cigsr in securing the Number 1 spot on the Billboard charts. What I found to be of particular interest is the author also provided you with the information as to what song(s)
kept these gems out of this hallowed position. It has numerous pictures thru out and is indeed an exhaustive review of many famous artist's and musicians who you would have probably thought would have made it only to find out that sometimes a relatively obscure hit kept it from achieving its ultimate status.

Damages - The Complete First Season (2008, DVD)
This is another of FX's incredible series. It has venerable veteran actor Glenn Close in one plum of a legal role, and forget about the Ted Danson that you know from Cheers or Becker his part in this series is a real head turner. However the series does indeed require that you watch each and every moment of it because it cross references the future with the past in a sinewy fashion that keeps you alert. The ensemble cast (Rose Byrne) is at the top of their craft. If you enjoy watching a series that is definitely worth your time, this is surely time well spent. I would have to check but I believed that Glenn Close deservingly won an Emmy for this role. This is truly one of the better legal dramas that you will ever encounter, can't wait for season Two !!!

A Well Woven Tapestry of the Human Spirit
There are certain films that fit well for their time. Then there's this film that fits all of time. An incredibly well crafted tapestry that fulfills the highs and lows of the Human Spirit. The varying portrayals of behavioral indifference that suffer through the insurmountable odds of accomplishment of this monumental task demonstrates what (when well led) the plight of mankind can achieve when face with the adversity from the position of incarceration. The interesting dynamic that plays throughout this masterpiece of triumph and victory to unparalleled obsession is reason enough to enjoy this timeless classic. A tour de force of it's time and not wasted. Highly recommended.
