1 of 1 found this helpful I love the Surface Pro 3 and it's a great machine in 2018. I love how Microsoft future-proofed it by allowing newer Surface accessories to work with it. I got a 256GB SSD and 8GB i5 model, and it still packs quite a wallop in 2018. I didn't want to settle for the 4GB RAM and 128GB SSD model simply because I wanted to avoid space and memory constraints. While a 512GB SSD model would've been perfect, it's too costly second hand, and 256GB is a good sweet spot. The 4th Gen Haswell processor still holds up well in 2018 and the SP3 runs like a dream with 8 gigs of RAM. I have Windows 10 with all the latest updates on it, and the Surface Pro 4 Alcantara Type Cover and latest gen Surface Pen complements my tablet nicely. I loved the improvements of the SP4 Type Cover so much I bought that instead of getting the original type cover.
