Real wood, not plastic.

These are actually made of beech. So cool. The lens is nothing to complain about either.

Thank you for this shade!

While it may lack a bit of original detail, it sits on snuggly and works fine. I plan to flock the inside of mine with a kit of black from Woodcraft. I don't plan on removing it frequently, as it isn't built with a bayonet hard stop.... it will take some fiddling to line up. Between uses on my A7r-II it lives in a cheep hard case along with a can of Hydrosorbent. What a lens the 3x70 is, amazing !!!
