Good quality pump for great price

I haven't closed my pool yet so this has not been used, but with that said LG is known for making good pumps so I am sure this will be no different. My previous LG pump was several years old and needed to be replaced because the power cord broke down from UV exposure. This pump has a long cord and comes with the fitting to hook up a standard garden hose. My only concern is that the pump is horizontal rather than vertical. This means the water needs to be a bit deeper for it to effectively pump. But typically I only turn my pump on for a few minutes to establish flow and let the rest gravity drain out.
