Huge Disappointment
1 of 3 found this helpful There is a LOT of content here. BUT... good luck finding anything. Lets say I want to make turkey tetrazzini That would be under poultry right? Well.. no. Maybe it's under pasta. Ummm no.... Cooking for one or two?.... nada, maybe it's under Grand Prize winners... nope, oh here it is under Potluck picks. In short this is a HUGE cookbook that I find to be totally useless. I find the index to be as confusing as the layout of the cookbook itself. This is NOT a condemnation of Taste of Home cookbooks. I have others that I have used till they are dog eared, but this one is going to library book sale.

Philip Marlowe - Private Eye

I believe this is the best film rendition of Phillip Marlowe available, period.
Powers Boothe absolutely nails the character and the scripts are well done from Chandler stories.
Technically the video is pretty good but the sound quality is only fair. I think these must have been transferred from tape rather than film.
There are 2 Marlowe sets available. A 2 disc set that covers season 1 and a 3 disc set with all 11 episodes. Go ahead and spend a few dollars more for the 3 disc set because once you watch one episode you'll be hooked.
