nice to have the full range of sizes continuously thru the design range. Also resharpening or blade replacement will keep this tool usefull for a very long time.

An excellent well written composite constuction handbook.

This book was recommended on Paul Lamars " rotary eng.net" and I bought it on E-bay for the lower price. It is well written, very complete and usable by someone with no composite experience. I am learning a lot of alternate techniques and easier methods. The author is obviously very experienced in composite construction. This is an expanded version of a previous book by this author. I would recommend this book to anyone building with composites of any experiance level. george grimes

Really handy tool

I bought this to use while I am changing brushes or cleaning another identicle porter cable 14" sander. I make fiberglass moulds and don't want to be caught without this really handy tool. I use 24 grit belts which makes the cooling exhaust air warmer than I would like but I have been useing the original one for 3 years with no problems. The new one seems to let the belt tracking knob turn while in use. I will eventually get the parts diagram from tool repair.com and see if something is missing like a spring or something behind the knob. The tool weighs more than I expected but I use it one handed a lot and my wife refinished a harvest table with it. This tool also works on auto body filler on curved surfaces due to the smaller base size.
