Sailor 1911 KOP--a wonderful design, delightful to use, splendid writer.
2 of 2 found this helpful I ordered the Sailor 1911 King of Pen (KOP) on 06.15.2019; it arrived on 06.21.2019, which is excellent time for an overseas order.
Sailor makes various versions of the KOP, & some of them are extremely expensive, but ALL have the renowned Sailor 21K number 8 nib. The one I have is the black, cigar-shaped 1911 with gold nib and fittings.
It writes as one should expect for the price: The nib is smooth, with excellent but not excessive ink flow, & it has slight feedback. I have medium-sized hands, so the pen fills my hand well without being uncomfortable. The balance is excellent (I don't post this pen; there is no need to).
The KOP is cartridge/converter-fill. Some people object to that, but if you change ink frequently, that or an eye-dropper is ideal; it makes the pen easier to clean.

Excellent value, good writer, performs better than expected; as well as more costly pens.
Pros: Stainless steel. Excellent mix of gold/silver coloring for eye appeal. Made of stainless steel except for plastic section. Writes better than expected: excellent ink flow, low feedback. The nib is of an unusual triangular design & is set at an odd angle, which aesthetically pleasing. At under $5.00 and free shipping, the pen is a bargain.The downside is that it took 20 days to arrive, so you have to be patient.
