Nice functionality, but expected better sound from Bose

I was able to correct my issues with the Alexa connection, I had to manually update the firmware on the unit using a USB cable, after this the Alexa connection is now working. I still believe the sound quality is lacking on the base, my other Bose products (even small ones) have had more bass output and I enjoy this sound from Bose.
At $99 this speaker is a decent deal, but I can't imagine paying a penny more. The little soundlink mini portable speaker sounds like it has better base response than the soundtouch 10. The mids and highs are clear but I expected much better base response from a device carrying the Bose logo, especially after my awesome experience of what the little soundlink mini can produce from such a small footprint.
Overall it is ok for a small speaker if you really want Spotify connect or wifi music rather than a simple Bluetooth connection.
