A good book for the beginner.
1 of 1 found this helpful This book encompasses many subjects including Crewelwork, Canvaswork, Blackwork, Silk Shading, Goldwork, Stumpwork, Whitework, and Bead Embroidery. It also gives a beginner easy instruction on how to start including design, tools needed, and designing a piece. Each section has a selection of stitches with instruction and what the stitch is used for in a piece. This book is a great general guide to embroidery.
