LG VX3100A Tri-Mode Flip Cell Phone for Verizon/Alltel
1 of 1 found this helpful I worked for Verizon Wireless during 2 phases of this phone and a refurb phase. This phone got terrible reception. It was staticy and dropped calls continuously. It's not just the network or the seller...sometimes ya just get a bad model of phones. Thus far, I have tested 8 LG phones (VX9800, VX7000, VX6100, VX6000, VX3200, VX3100, VX4500B, VX4500A) and the 3100 was the worst of them all. It's screen loses brightness, it is EXTREMELY sensitive to moisture and shows "water damage" with even mild condensation when being left in a car overnight..not to mention terrible reception. Before you buy this phone, beware and do not blame the seller or Verizon. The blame is with LG for releasing a P!55 poor product.

Now get back to modern day reality...tell me how many guys would wait for a girl for 2 years and then wait ANOTHER 2 years just to keep himself from being plowed by a truck??? Given the idea of his own mortality or living...yes, he would probably choose to live..but wait for a girl and not get any action on the side while waiting?! Not probable. The romance through letters could be just as well done with one of them in prison and the other on the outside...at least then it would make sense with the waiting, but hey...don't inmates get their freak on too??

Motorola Q - Not what I was expecting

I got rid of it within 2 days of getting it. Why? Well, the fact I had to add an additional plan to my Verizon account for $24.99 a month which gave me 10MB of data usage (not really a whole lot). I couldn't log into my yahoo e-mail or set up wireless sync very easily. Found out why after 2 hours on hold with Customer Care (let me tell you how friendly and knowledgeable they AREN'T)...if I wanted to access my yahoo mail account, I would need to sign up for a YAHOO MAIL PLUS account for $19.99 a month.

The PDA does NOT have Get it Now and if you are going from a phone where you have downloaded or liked to download songs and applications...get over it. You will lose them all. The ringtones on the phone are OK, but setting up the phone and ringtones is not the most user friendly. I came from a long line of LG phones and loved them. They are pretty much idiot-proof. Not that I am an idiot...I just have too many other things to do with my life (including chasing after a 2 1/2 year old, working and running a small business) to spend hours tweaking a PDA.
I was not impressed.
