Great entry-level DSLR that provides excellent photos without breaking the bank
If you have any interest in getting started with photography or just want to upgrade from your point-and-shoot or phone camera, the Nikon D3400 is an great choice. It has all of the important features for taking professional-quality photos. The kit lens is also fairly decent, although I'd highly recommend investing in some better lenses if you want to take your photography to the next level.
I'm giving this camera 4 stars because I think the camera is a bit small. Other DLSRs that Nikon offers in the prosumer and professional range are slightly bigger, mostly because they have an LCD display on the top to show you information regarding your ISO, aperture, shutter speed, etc. I think it would be nice to have a slightly bigger body despite the absence of the LCD to make holding it more comfortable.
I have not used Nikon's SnapBridge feature, so I can't make any definite claims about it. However, I've heard mostly negative things about; the app crashes often, images don't transfer consistently, and other similar remarks. If you are just getting started with photography, I'd recommend getting some kind of desktop software to manage and edit images such as Adobe Lightroom. There are free alternative as well such as RawTherapee (Windows, Mac, Linux) and Darktable (Mac, Linux).
