Garmin eTrex Legend Cx GPS Receiver
3 of 3 found this helpful I had been looking for a handheld unit at a reasonable price when I came upon this particular unit. After reading different reports, I made my choice for this unit. After having the Garmin eTrex Cx for about three weeks, am very happy with the ease of use and the functionality of the Garmin. The best feature is the ability to lad additional maps onto the unit into the expandable micro SD memory (currently I have a 1G card and can hold about 1/2 of North America, increasing to a 2G card will allow the entire North America continent). The main purpose was for Geo-caching, but with a RAM mounting cradle, I am able to use the GPS on my motorcycle(s). The color screen is very easy to read, even in full sunlight and the side mounted buttons make it very easy to use. Also the ability to input lat & long coordinates is very useful. Battery life is great..seems to run forever on just 2 AA batteries. The next step up had additional features..but this one really suits my needs at present. Overall..a great handheld for everyone!

What I wanted. Replaced the hooks with sturdier hooks I had kept. But just what was needed!!
