Mario Kart for Wii is Very Entertaining!!!
2 of 2 found this helpful This is fun for the whole family, whether or not they're in the same room, same city, or even same continent! Imagine family members or friends in Europe or Asia jumping in with you, and playing as if they were right there with you.
My son loves anything Mario, and Super Mario for Wii is next for us (with Mario Winter Olympics shortly behind that). Having played this on his Nintendo DS Lite, my son thoroughly loves this game, already familiar with many of the courses.
My son and I have played each other, as well as people around the country, and around the whole world. It's amazing, really transparent interactive playing action between all players, truly real-time.
This game is well done, enhancing the already familiar graphics and faithfully continuing the storyline and purpose from Mario Kart. A player is quickly transformed into their character in the race, and playing this on a Wii is a completely new game.
Well done, and amazing. If you have kids and/or grandkids, you cannot miss with this one. Just make sure you have at least two Wii controllers and two steering wheels remote holders.

Nostalgic Disney Comedy on DVD
When my son had seen the recent 2005 edition of 'Herbie Fully Loaded' with Lindsay Lohan, Michael Keaton & Matt Dillon, he loved it, and I explained that his mother and I had grown up seeing older Herbie movies. We tried to remember all of the nuances of the different Herbie movies, and he said he wanted to see them all. The perfect opportunity presented itself prior to his 10th birthday, when I found this collection on eBay (in Widescreen, too!).
Once we received it, we started a nightly viewing of each Herbie movie. Our son absolutely loved it, and it was fun to watch the Herbie collection again with our son seeing them for the first time.
If you want some good family comedy, Disney-style, this is a good investment. Boys especially love cars, and Herbie is a wonderful comedic exception to all of those faster race cars that boys love to play with. We found our son's creativity enhanced after watching these, imagining a smaller car could overtake the expected winners. The original first Herbie movie, in particular, teaches wonderful lessons in overcoming obstacles, having faith against all odds, and an underdog succeeding.
I recommend this collection to all parents and grandparents of young boys, especially if they love cars!

Perhaps the BEST fast lens value for Sony Alpha Cameras!
3 of 3 found this helpful As you might already be aware, most of the lenses that come with the Sony Alpha cameras aren't the best. Those tend to cost a premium price. As a result, dealing with the lowest f-stop of f-3.5 or smaller is common and not the best for narrow focus ranges, portraits, etc. or low light conditions where you don't want to use a flash.
After a little over a week with this beauty, I have to say I'm so glad I made the decision on getting this Sigma 30mm at f-1.4 instead of the Sony 50mm at f-1.8. The wider field of view on my a6000 makes this 30mm more like a 45mm, so it's perfect for general use. The f-1.4 aperture makes taking low light shots easy.
Last night at Benihana, with the lights off and flames rising from the stacked onions (if you have kids, you know what I mean), I took some shots I was amazed at.
I've also taken lots of flower and nature shots, which are gorgeous, with a tiny depth of focus, so small in some cases that it's only about 1/4" deep when using close-up. Just amazing for highlighting that bee on a flower, etc.
I can tell this is going to be one of my favorite lenses for general purposes. I love my other 3 lenses, but this one is what's likely going to be getting the most use.
I highly recommend the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens for anything like my a6000 E-mount.
