Converts a so-so humidor into a good one
Bought a very nice looking humidor which I bought after using a smaller one of the same brand and model, but had problems keeping humidity, went through “seasoning” three times, almost six weeks combined, used Xikar humidifiers and humidor kept acceptable humidity levels for a couple of weeks.
I could have changed humidor, but my budget only allows me to purchase affordable ones (less than $100.00), and in my opinion at that price range is a roll of the dice regarding quality.
I ordered the HUMI-CARE EH Plus Electronic Humidifier knowing is too big for my humidor, but I’m planning to upgrade to a bigger one later this year.
I think that this humidor will make a so-so humidor in a good one sacrificing capacity. Now I’m confident spending on cigars that otherwise will not, because now I have a humidor that I can trust.

Good option for my application as a field voltage data logger
I use this data logger to troubleshoot battery systems in off-grid hybrid energy applications (I use this data logger to troubleshoot battery systems in off-grid hybrid energy applications (Solar panels + Wind + Motor generator/Fuel cell) in environments where thievery and vandalism are high, as well as the possibility that it gets stolen.
When site is in secure area, I use a more capable (and much more expensive) unit.
My application requires:
• 1 Second between readings.
• At least 36 hours autonomy. Unit battery life is 100 hours, plan to use it up to 72 hours between battery changes.
• Small size to be installed inside existing battery cabinet (at least NEMA 3).
• Isolated terminals.
• At least 320 Volts capacity.
• Not less than 36 Volts sensitivity.
• DC capable.
• Excel readable RAW file format for post analysis.
• Affordable to replace if/when stolen.
What I like:
• Standalone.
• Feels rugged.
• Weight and dimensions.
• Technical support.
• Price.
• Standard USB connector and tester lead cables.
What I don’t like:
• Not rated for outdoor use.
• Unit user interface is cryptic to me, fortunately the software is easy to use and I operate the unit through it.
• Battery life.
This logger is one of several I use, I can only recommend if your application and challenges are similar to mine as I do with my colleagues.

After 25 years, I had to replace my old Petzl
This is a high quality light and I used a Peltzl headlamp for many years and traveled with it a lot.
I could buy more affordable ones but I wanted a simple design, ON/OFF switch, not as the the ones I found at other places with 5+ modes.
I like this model with two modes, low and high and the switch is "old style" and the learning curve is more like a dot, very simple to use and understand.
5 stars for simplicity.
5 stars for quality/durability.
