Life as a POW.

The lessons of the Vietnam war may be lost on some, but it is doubtful they were lost on the POWs who were held in a jungle POW camp in Quang Nam province in Vietnam. A cup and a half of rice per day, and whatever manioc they could obtain from Montangyard gardens was on the menu 365 days a year. David Harker survived the hardships for over 5 years, and became the longest held enlisted POW of the Vietnam war. I'm happy to report David is alive and well, as I had a chance meeting with him this past week. No collection of Vietnam books is complete without this one.
