Boom and bust
"Boomtown" suffered the curse of being mostly ahead of its time. Cable networks weren't the power that there are now, and network audiences were still mostly looking for conventional fare. "Boomtown" and its frequent "Rashomon"-type storytelling didn't find a large enough audience. It wasn't perfect, but it was an interesting attempt, and worth a view.

Middle of the food chain
Great opening scene, but after the cast is introduced it's obvious who the last two standing will be. (There is a mildly surprising first "elimination.) It's an okay action flick, with some parts straining your credulity, but generally a bit above average.

I have only watched one of the movies so...
I have only watched one of the movies so far, but it was good, with more depth than most action films. Good sets, costumes and acting.
