    Jitterbug works well but extraordinarily hard to switch carriers
    Jitterbug uses it's own network-piggybacked on Verizon. Since I had Verizon with my dad's old smart phone, I assumed it would be easy. I was very wrong. The process of getting it switched took 3 days! No senior that is not tech savvy could have done it easily.
