Ideal Data Transfer Cutter
1 of 1 found this helpful I have been using these cutters for a few years now and love them! I use them to cut MTW (stranded) wire. I build and wire industrial control panels and use them a good amount of the day at work. I use an automatic wire stripper to strip the wires (kind of odd in my field), and these to cut the wires. The wire I use to cut these usually is in the range of #18 awg to #10 awg. Also cat 5 and some smaller multiconductor cable. I usually use a heavier cutter to cut #8 awg on up, rg6 quad, and thicker multi cables. I like the cutters because they cut better than the straight cutters, hold their edge a long time, and don't poke or cut you in your pocket or toolbox because they are rounded, and have a lock on them. The handles are also nicely shaped and comfortable, not slippery.
