Excellent mix, high quality project
Have had this album on vinyl for a long time, good to gain a copy on CD. Arrived in good time and condition as described--near mint. Bill Evans is an excellent saxophonist and the tracks on this set, are original sounds and very creative. The impression is of tight playing with quite demanding musical pieces, another type project with elements of Fusion. Best tracks perhaps--from my perspective, anyway, 'Let the juice loose', 'JoJo' and 'Gardiners Garden', which has an exquisite melody line--beautiful piece of music, sounds like soprano sax.

Easy listening with enjoyable sounds.
It's difficult to be pragmatic about music--it's an art form and dynamic by nature, relying much on the flow and changing colouration of vocals, melody and harmony. Obviously, these qualities carried on a rhythmic base, deliver a range of feelings, reactions and impressions which position a listeners attitude to a given piece of music. Therefore, my impression of Cliff's duets with other acclaimed vocalists, is about the same as my general impression of Cliff himself; he's very good at what he does and has, I believe, a clear level of musical integrity in the songs he produces. This album lacked nothing then and provided a further hue, to his own artistic expression. A good album for any C R fan or those who just enjoy, well packaged dual voices in unison.

As with his style, another good album. A musician of high keyboard integrity.
Because I like Bob James material, I tend to like virtually all of his works; in fact, the only track so far that's a challenge, is 'Night on Bald Mountain'---that's because of the musical sound and key it's played in along with the style of this trak. Bob James gives a unique image to his keyboard playing; he's blended on many tracks, a style all his own which has I believe, characterised the smooth, easy genre, that is his field to embrace. While perhaps unfair--comparing musicians, at times, James packaged numbers have a parallel to various of Chuck Mangiones works, purely in the sense of very smooth, lush, easy-flow melodic pieces. All round, good sounds to engage with.
