Designed better than the OEM part it replaced
It is constructed better than the original equipment that it replaced, especially in the shield just below the pulley where water tends to get into the top bearing. It was easily installed and operated under load smoothly and without vibration..

Reed Valves for 50 year old Sears 2hp Air Compressor.
1 of 1 found this helpful I had a intake reed valve to break in my piston -oil type Sears air compressor.
I had no Sears model number since it was so old, so forget getting replacement parts from them! I went on-line and 'googled' reed valves. Saw a photo a photo on ebay that looked like them and a they listed a kit part No. Went back to Sears with this part No. and found it listed but cost over twice the ebay price and a week delivery time! I ordered from ebay, then discovered the ebay supplier was located in San Juan, PR! Started to cancel order but didn't -- three days later the part was in my mail box, and was a perfect fit for my compressor.
