No better than the old one.
The original battery in the phone was lasting 16hrs or so, that's why I purchased this. Followed the instruction to run it down to 10% and then fully charged it in airplane mode. It's had several charges from 5%, lasts just 11hrs. Poor, not recommended.

Excellent for its age.
Fantastic condition and week long battery life with its original battery! Downloaded the manual and already had a charger from another Sony Ericsson phone. Everything works as it should and just want to de-brand it now to get rid of the Virgin Mobile firmware if I can.

So cheap these days!
Bought this for a cheap 9790 picked up on eBay. Fully charged with loads of messing with the phone and making backups & bluetooth'ing photos and ringtones it lasted a day and a half. Next charge with just calls and texts lasted 2 days. Recommended from me, so cheap but a quality item!
