Great model

there are no down sides to this model...Its accurate and depending how careful you can paint ..it can be a very realistic model. Also there are many after market decals and brass etched parts and paint masks.

Rubber tires and Canadian decals

this was the CF-18 version. The best thing about this model is the rubber tires instead of plastic tires...And was a very straight forward model to build easy to follow instructions..And i love the Canadian markings..

Accurate model and a good buy

I made this model back in 1970..it brings back good memories. Besides my emotional connection ..The out line of the model is very accurate compared to the Aurora DC8...and yes its a little larger than 144 scale but it matches other 144 scale airline models you may have. So do not worry about its not exactly 144. It is the -61 version. the engines and lading gear and tires are all accurate so it is a nice model and any decals made for a 144 scale DC8 model will fit and look good. Its a long model and will require some weight in the nose to keep it from tail sitting.
