Much cheaper than an OE idle valve but idles too high

Fits correctly but sets the idle too high. The OE idle valve keeps the idle at @750 rpm. These idle valves the engine started up and idled at 1000rpm then slowly went up to 1400rpm. Way too high idle rpms for these cars. It was installed on a 1982 380sl Mercedes Benz which is what the product says it is for.
