cannot get any smaller profile
I bought the VersaCarry for a S&W 640 J Frame. It seems to answer the safety questions of the semi-auto models and it works well if you can handle the weapon against your skin if you do not tuck you shirt into your pants/shorts. It does tuck pretty well but leaves the cylinder and it's latch against your side. The gun carried very well just in front of a side seam belt loop and the clip will go over my jeans and a Galco SB5 1.75" belt but it is a tight fit. I see little or no shifting, the draw is easy, the gun rides low, and it is very comfortable with a shirt behind the rig. Yesterday after putting the 640 in the safe I forgot the holster was there until bed time.
With care I can re-holster but it is not easy nor "tactical". I have five other J Frame holsters, they all work OK but this is my first IWB carry attempt and it was a good choice. For OWB carry i greatly favor my Focus belt holster (not paddle type) and would rate it as good a carry as this VersaCarry but more limited in holster placement on the belt. The VersaCarry will go just about anywhere on your waist and is reversible to left hand at first set up (but not after as it is a click once design}.
Time will tell if this is a durable holster. I can vouch that for a J Frame, there is very little print and it does the job at a fair price. Good shooting!!!
