Not for Kids
I expected this to help my 2 year old granddaughter cope with her fears; She's very cautious. Instead the book built on shallow stereotypes, that support the fear instead of understanding the role of animals in a complex world. The final "Scarey Thing" is a mirror, so crumpled it didn't reflect, suggesting the child itself is the scariest thing in the house. Ok, so humorous, sarcastic, ironic - I get it. But does a 2 year-old? I have disposed of this book, glad that I didn't pay much. BTW, I loved Campbell's book, Dear Zoo. Get that one instead.
