This sucker flies and is reasonably priced. Great value for my $$
Amazing product. The price was phenomenal and it was shipped quickly. This chip is a generation earlier than the Haswell, but if you check the specs it often exceeds computational power. I run lots of nonlinear simulations with big data sets and this does just fine. It is not a Core 5, but probably half as fast as the top end home desktops that are now on the market. I also use Dragon NaturallySpeaking, while I have several Microsoft products open and am running statistical software and the speed is still quite impressive. The battery life, while not Haswellian, is darn good, even for a 17 incher. This notebook is rugged, having withstood poundings of little ones in my family who want to watch online versions of Blues Clues (yes, we like Joe as much or more than Steve).
Please note that this model I am reviewing comes with 15-not 8 GB. which is what I recommend

This is an extraordinarily useful book

Best bargain since Free Linux
Sounds great, pairs well, quite functional, and charges quickly. Not quite my Sony high end but they are seemingly sturdier and only 10% the cost. I am thinking off buying another.
