Pricey but great IQ
4 of 4 found this helpful As per all the reviews, great IQ, very sharp and focuses at a relatively close distance. With my A7R3 I can crop in ridiculous amounts and still have a nice image. It's not small, but it does fit into my bag, taking the place of a FE 70-300. It is a significant upgrade from that lens. The 70-300 produced a sharp image in crop sensor mode, and was significantly smaller. This lens is sharp across the image at all apertures and focuses on moving birds/animals more quickly. It's a keeper for me!
