Finally a fix
3 of 3 found this helpful My ice maker was overfilling and icing up the rails of the freezer making it difficult to open and close. First thing I did was to replace the control valve on the back of the fridge. Did that, no luck. Tried changing back to name brand water filters to see if that made a difference. It didn't. Tried releveling the ice maker. No luck there either. I was about to give up and saw this replacement unit on eBay. About $30-40 cheaper than I could find elsewhere online. Figured it was worth a shot. Finally no more overfilling and no more ice on my freezer rails! Wish I would have tried this first.
