Seiko 5 Automatic SNXF01, analog, day & date

Classic Watch
This is my second Seiko 5 Automatic, my first one was bought in the early 90's and was lost. I bought a second one which is a later model and it has a transparent back case cover allowing the caliber to be seen. It is relatively lightweight despite being a stainless steel watch. The size of the case is just right; not too large nor small approx. 36 mm. It keeps time well +/- a few seconds per day. All in all, it's akin to a poor man's Rolex with stylish looks and reliable functionality but at a much more affordable cost.

Well designed Model and Toy
My son loves it. The model transforms into a Toy after it's completed. No need for glue or paint. There are 2 clone pilots which sit inside the cockpit and 4 clone foot soldiers which can be placed standing up inside the ship's cabin. The doors slide open and the ball turrets for the fore and aft guns can turn. Unlike the Lego sets, there are no missiles to launch from the model, and the canopy cannot be opened over the cockpits. It is light weighted and the size is roughly 8 inches or 20 cm in length with wingspan of 10 and a half inches or 26 cm and nearly 3 and a half inches or 8 cm high. The clones included are made of soft rubber and stand about 1 inch or 2 and a half cm tall. The only problem I had is snapping the 2 halves of the main cabin together along with the sliding doors/ base platform, and cockpit. It really takes a lot of patience and skill. The instructions are a bit vague at times so I think it requires an adult to supervise the kids who cannot complete this set on their own. Similarly, the pieces need to be filed smooth where it was attached to the plastic trees, so again I don't think the kids can do this well enough on their own. But overall this is a great set and the finished product is well worth the money, time and effort spent which isn't really that much anyway.
