Canon Powershot S5 is

Pros - The hot shoe and having 8 mega pixels are definitely a plus. I have owned two of these and have been pretty happy with both. Cons - Sometimes it seems something goes haywire and it won't turn on(this happened to me once)but after a while it seemed to work again. You must make sure it is focused before you shoot. Sometimes it says it is focused and it is not(I think this is a problem with all digitals that are not SLR).

I did feel that the plastic felt a bit MORE lightweight perhaps than could be desired - but that was probably the case with the original which is why it needed to be replaced.
