Plastic Microwave Heating Food Pot Bowl Round Container - With Vented Clear Lid
Jan 13, 2023
A small expense for a huge saving.
These are absolutely perfect for what I bought them for, namely, boiling water which they do very quickly in the microwave. It takes 7 minutes to heat two and three quarter litres which is enough to wash with. The gas boiler stopped working just before Christmas and left me with no way to heat water. Buying two of these pots solved that problem. I like the swiveling vent on the lid and the one's I bought fit nicely in the microwave. Heating water with them works out considerably cheaper than using gas, anyway, so I will, more than likely, continue to use them after the boiler's been repaired. At 24p a unit it works out at around 4p to heat 5 litres. It costs that to run the boiler for one minute. I'm really pleased with my purchase and, if I should need to in the future, will definitely buy again.
Salter Dietary Mechanical Kitchen Scales 500g Capacity, Weigh in 5g Increments
Sep 03, 2022
Meets my needs perfectly.
Just a perfect little scale. Not excessively large so it doesn't get in the way when in use, in fact it's so small you can keep it in a drawer till required. I bought it to weigh pasta more accurately as my big scale only weighs in 100g increments and I needed something that could weigh 75g for which this scale is perfect. The container is quite small, I only got 300g of sugar in when I tested it but, to be fair, if I want to weigh sugar, I use the big scale. If, however, I want to weigh 325g of something, I can now do it accurately by using both scales.
Pristine Condition Nokia N95 -Silver (Unlocked) Smartphone + 12 Months warranty

Lighter than an N81 with better equipment.
I happened to need a new phone when these came out in 2008 but, because these only had 8Gb internal memory, I chose its sister phone the N81 which came with a micro SD slot and could go up to 32Gb. I liked its features so much that I stayed with them for years until, recently, my last one's microphone broke. I had a choice, pay £40 to get it fixed or spend £30 and buy an N95. No contest. I am utterly amazed. Not only does the N95 have all the features I liked on the N81 like the music player, where you can create playlists, give them specific names, re-order the tracks at will and even edit the track details but also a better camera and more accessible media keys. But the N95 has a couple of features that surpass the N81. The first is the location of the headphone socket which is on the side next to the micro SD slot and not on the top, as it was on the N81, where it sometimes got caught up when the slide was opened. The slide closing is the second feature. On the N81, the 'end call when closing slide' option was defaulted to on which meant I sometimes ended calls by accident. The N95 doesn't have this option, so that's better. The dual direction slide function is very useful too. On the N81, to access the music player function keys you either had to remember to flick the 'unlock' button on the top of the phone or open the slide. With the dual slide, these keys are easier to operate and, as it's only a centimetre wide, the opened slide is less obtrusive. The N95 comes with a 5Mp camera which is 3Mp better than its sister and there are better options when taking pictures too as you can set the camera to take images from 0.3Mp small to 0.8Mp for email then 2Mp and 3Mp medium through to the full 5Mp for large prints. One downside, not for me though, is that the internet access, for which this phone was highly lauded, is no longer accessible. Both Nokia's N-Gage and the Orange network are now defunct and the last updates expired ten years ago but, as a small consolation, the Snake game sort of works, albeit on a limited trial basis. It also has a mini USB port but you can easily get these leads online. The battery lasts about six hours, if you're playing music constantly, but around 3 days on standby. USB power leads don't exist for these phones but I'm planning to create one with a blank USB plug and a surplus power lead. I have accumulated several of these as every replacement Nokia N81 came with one as well as this phone. Despite its lack of internet access I can't really find fault with the N95. In many respects it more than surpasses its predecessor, my only regret is not getting one sooner. One additional point is that when I ordered this phone it was listed as Silver but when it arrived I was delighted to find I'd been sent the limited edition Plum model.
