First rate comemorative
Excellent Remembrance and celebration of one of the all-time great broadcasters and class acts in sports history. Plus this L A Times special section arrived in new and perfect condition.

Lionel Illinois Central cars
The Lionel Illinois Central combo car is part of the aluminum City of New Orleans set. It is one of the most beautiful passenger car sets Lionel made. Also a train immortalized by Steve Goodman's song "Riding on the City of New Orleans" and made a hit by Arlo Guthrie. Steve and I used to ride that train together back to college at the University of Illinois from Chicago in the mid 1960's. Steve was thinking about dropping out of school to further develop his singing career and didn't get off at the University of Illinois at the Champaign, Illinois stop. He decided to ride it all the way to New Orleans while he thought it over. I wished him well, and the rest is history.
