D200 - High ISO issues
The D200 is a fantastic camera. It finally gave Nikon something to compete with the mid range Canon's. It is a night and day difference from the D70 and the old D100. Anyone making the change will think they bought a D2X by accident. I have only had one problem so far with the camera and that is the ISO. If I am over 400 I will see a sharp increase in noise. I can use programs to reduce it once I get the image on my computer, but nothing seems to help in camera. The NR system seems to do nothing either. It does not appear to by a physical issue - but rather and electroic issue. I am hoping a future firm wear update will help this problem. I know others have experinced it. Other than that - great camera - great buy for a person who plans to use it on a regualr basis. Enjoy!

Nikon EN-EL3e Battery - Hard to Find - NO GENERICS YET!
THE EN-EL3e HAS BEEN THE HARDEST BATTERY TO FIND. THERE ARE CURRENTLY NO GENERICS MADE AND IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THERE WILL BE ANYTIME SOON. THERE IS A SPECIAL NIKON CHIP INSIDE EACH BATTERY. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE THE BATTERY IS NOT IN HIGH DEMAND THE INTRODUCTION OF AN ADDITIONAL CAMERA THAT IS ONLY EN-EL3e COMPATIBLE. THE BATTERY WORKS GREAT AND I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH IT. I DO RECOMMEND THE MULTI-BATTERY PACK FOR THE D200 IF YOU REALLY WANT TO GET SOME LIFE OUT OF YOUR BATTERY. ITS SHARES POWER VERY WELL AND THE BUILT IN CHIP TELL THE CAMERA EXACTLY HOW MUCH JUICE IS LEFT. VERY HELPFUL AT THE END OF THE NIGHT. WORTH TOP DOLLAR RIGHT NOW - HIGHER DEMAND IS EXPECTED AS D200 OUTSELLS OTHERS AND MORE D80 COME TO OUR SHORES. WE THINK OPEC HAS A GOOD DEAL...
